Villagers are welcome to celebrate the Christian baptism of their children at St Giles and the first step is making an appointment with Fr David. Thanksgiving for the birth of a child is an alternative service in which no promises of church membership are made. There is no fee for either service.
St Giles is available to villagers for Christian marriage or for a dedication service after civil marriage. If you are not currently resident in the Parish you can still get married at St Giles if one of you:

The Martindale Centre is a cost-effective possibility for the reception and the village also has two good pubs. There are, or course, many other venues suitable for wedding receptions in the surrounding area.
There are statutory, and other, fees for weddings. As an option, the Church has a team which can provide supplementary flower arrangements, to the couple's specification, at reasonable cost.
Any villager can receive Christian funeral rites in St Giles or in the Churchyard. There are statutory fees.
