St Giles Church - Friends of Horsted Keynes Church

The Friends of Horsted Keynes Church, founded in 2011, is a major contributor to the preservation and enhancement of the fabric of our beautiful church and the surrounding churchyard. The Friends fundraising activities are important in the life of the whole village community and, thanks to the generosity of parishioners, a substantial list of work has been undertaken on the church building including:

Repairing roofs and lead work
Repairing pointing on the bell tower
Treating mould and damp in the porch
Re-pointing windows
Repairing lime plaster
Repairing and re-pointing stonework

Also improvements in the churchyard including:

Construction of a new memorial path
Restoration of the existing memorial path
Renewing the path from the church porch to the school
Restoration of a chest tomb
Screening off the bin and shed area
